Summary: These results were interesting to say the least. Firstly, my bid was set at .10 cents and the clicks averaged out at 6.4 cents each. Sweet to get more then you paid for but none of these 157 leads converted. Click through rate was super high compared to the previous campaigns. It seems like you really need to do something attention grabbing if you want social media clicks. Unfortunately a 0:157 ratio is pretty bad. I’m starting to wonder if test #1 was just luck as at least that test was close to breaking even. Next test will be using Myspace traffic, a similar offer, but this time targeting Canada. Maybe Canadians will be easier to hustle on Social Media…eh?
I guess you’re having the same results as I did. I have the strong opinion that socialmedia’s traffic has to be one of the worst in the web2.0 world. Try European traffic, I’ve had better results with that.
I have not yet tried European but if I do, you can be sure you will see the case study here 🙂
