For some time now I’ve enjoyed watching ABC’s “Shark Tank.” It’s a show where 5 investors (AKA sharks) sit around a table and entrepreneurs pitch them into buying a percentage of their companies. One of the investors is Kevin Harrington. Kevin is a pioneer in the infomercial and direct response space having launched The Obama Coin, Billy Mays products, Tony Little’s products and much more.
At Ad:Tech NY 2009 I ran into a friend of mine, Ryan Machara. Ryan is the Founder/CEO of Elite Clicks Media. He told me that he’d like to introduce me to someone. This someone was Kevin Harrington.
It turns out that Kevin is now a partner in Elite Clicks Media. I think this was a smart move by both Kevin Harrington as well as Elite Clicks Media. By having Kevin, ECM get’s a strategic partner with 25 years in the direct response industry and a $4 Billion sales track record. Kevin gains access to the affiliate marketing industry as well as proven large volume publishers, which gets him an alternative sales channel to push his products.
As of now, ECM has your typical affiliate network products such as diet, freebies, dating, downloads etc.. Since Kevin sees thousands of products with potential that just can’t work on TV due to the huge outlay in developing an infomercial and buying TV media, he will be bringing some of those products to the affiliate network.
I think the synergy between Kevin & Elite Clicks Media is strong and will make them a team to watch in 2010.
This is NOT a paid post
Great synergy. As we discussed at ad-tech. I thought the golf club novelty gift company for 25k that Kevin picked up on shark tank was a steal. Now Elite Clicks Media can peddle golf club piss tube clubs.
@Brian – Piss tube clubs are this seasons hottest niche 😉
Thanks Brandon for the post! We really appreciate it!
I’m glad I could make the introduction. As always it was good seeing you at the show.
@Brian – As far as the piss clubs are concerned, I don’t think that will be featured on the network. But, you never know.. 🙂 If there’s a demand we’ll supply.
I think right now ECM will be focusing on the 25k different products that are backlogged and picking some winners from there.
Hey Brandon,
I wanted to see if you could help me out by marketing my site as well with the paypercall tracking like you did for the auto campaign you published on before. How would i get in contact with you?
Thanx, Great blog by the way, i love the case studies man
Epic! That is awesome!!
Great stuff! Looking forward to the products!
Thx’s
as Greg Davis would say” RECESSION PROOF BUSINESS”
Is ECM no longer around? I saw something promoting them the other day but now I can’t find them. Anyone know?
ECM is closed – I guess I called that one wrong 😉
