There are certain questions that you always see thrown about on affiliate marketing forums. How much does the average affiliate make? How many domains does the average affiliate own? etc. etc. etc. Shawn Collins & Missy Ward put together a pretty awesome survey to try to accumulate some stats about affiliates. I find it interesting that the majority of people are earning less than $500. Even as a relative newbie Id consider that low.
Were all of the people interviewed at the affiliate summit?
Tony,
I agree. I can’t believe I fall in the top 30%.
I think most people at that conference are either new or just lazy.
The poll was actually taken online, it wasn’t taken at affiliate summit. Shawn Collins and Missy Ward run Affiliate Summit so it was named after that but the poll results are not from the Summit itself.
That Peter Shankman guy looks like a total pedo. (page 1-2) Creepy as fuck…
Things like theses are always cool to see
Very cool report. These are the kind of things I always wonder about.
I can’t believe those stats! Why are only half of the people maintaining an opt in email for their website!
I would also assume the people who promote 50 programs or more are the people making good money. Interesting…
@cash – it’s probably because a good deal of these affiliates don’t have real websites.
These surveys are great to find out what affiliates are looking for, but I think they’re more program then network based. Still helpful though!
@Dina – You are definitely right. A lot of that is program based.
